Week 1: Mona Lisa's Smiles 

An abstruse portrait of a lady behind the artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci has caught everybody’s attention for generations, more commonly known as Mona Lisa. Looking at the painting, all I can see with my bare eyes was a portrait of a lady wearing those enigmatic smiles and those remarkable look in its viewer. I have heard about this painting a lot of times before, but, in spite of being familiarize with it and know the idea behind of Mona Lisa, it turns as an ordinary painting for me. With my curiosity, I look at it and try to figure out what’s so special about it that makes it a well-known piece of artwork.  Who is Mona Lisa? Is she a love interest of Da Vinci? Or just someone that comes from his imagination? Why Da Vinci painted her? These are some of the questions lingering in my mind which I tried to search for answers. With my passionate interest in revealing the mythology surrounding this world’s famous painting, I’ve searched and read a lot of articles about this painting.

Mona Lisa was painted in Florence between 1503 and 1506 and this was a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Florentine cloth merchant named Francesco de Gioncondo. I also found in these article secrets of Mona Lisa. As stated in it, this image that reveals the painter’s preparatory drawings that shows that Renaissance man was also human. Taking a closer look at the painting, everyone can notice that Mona Lisa has no eyebrows. Is it for real, that Mona Lisa has no eyebrows?  Was there a reason why did she doesn’t have eyebrows in the portrait? Furthermore, I have discovered that when a certain engineer and scientist zoomed in the image of Mona Liza’s left eye, they found out that it has a single brush stroke in the eyebrow region, which shows that Mona Lisa has real eyebrows in the portrait, it was painted finely and makes it unable to be seen with our naked eye. What about those enigmatic smiles? The famous Mona Lisa’s smile represents the idea of happiness suggested by the word “giocanda” in Italian. Leonardo created this smile as the focal point of this portrait, therefore the alternative title for it was La Giocanda. One more thing, someone told me that Da Vinci has many secrets hiding behind Mona Lisa’s portrait, that has been lately discovered by some scientist using microscope to observe Mona Lisa then they found out numbers written in her eyes. Interesting huh ? Yah ! I know, let me continue the story. After finding those numbers in her eyes they scan it more define and again they see numbers scattered in her face, which leads them to conclude that it might be something like a code that Da Vinci wanted to convey.

Like many artist, Leonardo made his masterpieces conspicuously, through his passion and exceptional style It took him four years to finish this painting, which shows his patience and perseverance that I belived that our generations should also posses. Mona Lisa, achieve its fame because of the mysteries it makes its viewers curious about. Every art has its own meaning and message to the viewer, if you don’t analyze the message of an art you cannot know what is the essence of that art.

Week 10: Augment feral minds

After a few weeks I’m here again to visit my blog and make a new blog. Boost your creativity, my first impression in this topic are freely wild minds in the industry. For me the most important way to enhance your creativity is make believe to yourself nothing can believe in yourself but only you. You must need to fight your fear in failure do not hesitate what you are going to do or want to do always feel the independence to become an artist. Creativity is a Journey. Don’t trust in your own ideas and suggestions you must need to know somebody’s ideas to inspire and knew what they know that you do not know. Do not think things that can block your ingenuity always think positive or always have a vibes that is good. According to a 2006 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, positive moods can increase your ability to think creatively. Focus on eliminating your negative thoughts that can spoil your creative mind. Always have a faith full time on your labour you can’t develop an enhanced work that are made by a short time, you must need to finish some masterpiece by a right time.

You must devote yourself to developing your creative abilities put some hearts in what you are doing for you to have a superior conclusion on your toil. Pick some idea and be an expert on that. One of the best way to gain creativity is become an expert in one field you must have at least one area of product that you can provide genuine work on that product because you are an expert on that. Always give yourself an opportunity to explore new topics don’t stuck on what you are expertise. Sometimes your product must not give attention to somebody or not literally a good work but don’t stop while you meet that situation because you can still develop it  in future you can still boost your creativity, in short learn from your mistakes. Insecurity can suppress your abilities don’t lack of confidence be confident but not cocky. Daydreaming can help build some ideas on your creative mind. Always think or dream one product that can mainstreamed the world. Always remember curiosity is an element of a journey that can help you boost your creativity, ask why? How? How come? Don’t accept ideas that don’t make sense to you. It is still in you how would you build your creative mind but always think that everybody have great minds don’t challenge them but at least be one of them.

Week 9: New habit to express

At first I’m not interested when our professor told us to make a blog but when each week comes my self is straining the sense of blogging that’s why each and every week I’m starting to love blogging even though I’m not good in English and in grammar. In past era some people use notebooks and pens to say what’s on their mind. They write their everyday routine on a notebook to express their selves or to make a diary. There are no blogging sites or whatever in past generations. But now there are a lots of them that are free to use and express you selves infinitely. I’m different in real life and in blogging because here in blogging I can say that I’m a bit good in English but when it comes n real life I’m not that good in expressing myself unlike in this blog. When it comes in blogging I usually read some of my classmate’s blog before I do my blog. I honestly do that often for me to have an idea and knowledge about that blog but not exactly copying their thoughts. I’m confused that when somebody read my blog there are circumstances that they can laugh at my grammars and English but it’s ok because I’m at the age of learning. But I thoroughly appreciate those who appreciate me.

Blogging is other term for expressing you I think 70% of your blog doesn’t show you who you are in person that is my perspective. There is freedom in blogging you can say whatever you want to say or to express, doesn’t matter how long it is. But it doesn’t mean you can say some naughty or censored words in your blog. Off course you must have a responsibility to choose a word that is good to hear for you not the words that can make your image bad. You must know how to blog properly, blogging is not easy as you think and type you need also to think twice before you type or post it. You must also know your limitations once you make a blog. J In positive aspects of blogging you must know how to think a better topic to make sense.  Always have a citations in every RE- blog or copying in different people’s blog. Better to put some good ideas that readers can feed by just reading it. Make use of smiley’s to have an good vibes about reading. Blogging is the most comfortable way to learn, teach, express and feed some person’s mind. 

Week 8: Effect of new media in generation of hipsters!

Hello blog! Finally I can do my blog now after few weeks of recovering in my injury. Our teacher told us to make a blog about new media technologies. There are so many new media technology inside on our computer but off course this new media have some positive and negative effects in our daily lives. But nowadays new media is one of the way’s that changed our lives in so many ways, for me this can be a habit in everyday lives. Internet or new media’s are helpful to our new generation in this society it can connect to our friends, relatives, enemies etc. By using new media we can easily bond in outside world by using social networking sites. You may know what are the topic on different places of the world that trends on the internet. Internet is addictive like vice but you can have your own responsibility to make use of the internet wise and productive. I must admit I’m a hipster addict in computer surfing almost 24/7 of my life I’m online. This kind of daily lives had been using by billions of people around the world that’s why internet is the most influential an expensive element that everyone can have.

New media is the easiest way to search some things fast. You can search things that TV has not valuing to watch, sites that can harm our mental sickness and some sites that won’t able to open. For me my daily routine is not complete without  viewing my facebook, twitter, youtube accounts. I think new media made me realize that I can do something more and new media made me happy in some ways. In past years only internet can have an access into social networking sites and different sites, but now even Cellular phones or other devices. You can download and send videos, pictures, songs by using different app on different kind of cellular phones. New media helps us to know more about the world in fact I think most people don’t use television to view some news and updates but they use internet to know what is happening in outside world. At young age some child know how to operate internet and use them but they didn’t know what is the effect on what they are doing at young age, so better not to obey some child that uses internet by their own.

Week 7: Seek for the rain!

When it rains my whole day routine was eat, sleep, surf! But it's not constant because sometimes I  do my chores outside our house because we take advantage in the water that god gave us. :) We all know that when is raining its hard to get up in your sleep most specially in the early morning. That's why if it's raining in the evening most of student's I think all was praying to have no classes in the next morning. But I just realize if the classes suspend because of the weather we can have more duties to do because one class means a lot. OK let's get back to my personal daily habit during rainy season. Sometime I dance in our lobby and act a fool with some loud music! I ate so much I think ate every 15 min., yah 15 min! I always eat my Stepchild's stock of food. :) I make also soup but it's instant because I'm not expert in cooking that's why I used to buy some packed of instant noodles and cooked and eat it on my own.

One normal morning I just randomly said that "shit! it's raining again" and my Mom shout to me that I wasn't able to speak those words because rain is a gift from god that most of us need's it. Every Creatures here on earth need water and rain. Like animals, peoples, and even plants. We must appreciate all the gift's from god because it's a blessing. Let's get back again in my habit. In rainy season I also want to play mellow music or love song music just to relax my mental and physical awareness. Sometimes I watched movie different types of movies like horror, comedy, adventure, and most specially love story :) I just want to take God for the blessing that he given to us to make ourselves get warm when the rain is empowering the world and get love with every season that the world has.

Week 6: Connection on everything

Honestly, I don’t know how to start but we need to start. As we all know internet is the most mainstream element in the world that exist. but we don’t know that internet have their superhighways? Yes internet has one of that, that connects everything and share from one machine to another network. There are no limitations on internet highways unlike in the normal Road highways. We can surf as fast as the provider can give us. Of course if we want faster internet connection and faster computer we can surf as fast as we want by just one click. If you have a faster connection you can enjoy using it because it’s easy and fast. In internet world we can meet, greet, chat, talk, and even see other and different people as fast as we can unlike in past era we don’t have internet we only have letters, beepers, or fax machine. We can easily connect with our friends, family and also haters consistently and fast. We can also able to exchange and share some ideas from one person to another. The other term for internet is highway of life, because internet can also be part of our lives.

When the personal computers invented that is the one that internet have only in the computer but nowadays even cell phones and other gadgets have that so called internet. Because of Wifi we can use internet wireless and even we are on a ride, because Wifi is everywhere just like people. We can easily use internet everywhere unlike in past years we don’t have Wifi so we can’t connect internet in wireless. Also in Wifi you cn connect more users depending on the limitations on that Wifi.  There are also some negative effects that computer can provide. Just like addicting in computer games or different sites that the children can harm. We don’t have internet parental guidance because children nowadays are very curious minded that’s why they’ve open different sites that can harm on their mental behaviour. I think this element is the most influential in humans in means of by using it every day. We can use this in a more productive way. Everybody is part of this highway because we use it often in different methods and ways.

Week 5: Family of genuine minds

When someone asking what is my course I always say that my course is “MMA” and after I answered they think what it is and try to ask again what is the meaning, but when I say the meaning they don’t understand too I think because MMA is fresh in the minds of people. MMA is my new family on my new stage of being a student of course I choose MMA because of one thing I want photography nothing else but photography, but when I knew the related aspects in being an MMA student I am quiet exited to know everything on it. My batch in MMA is the 3^rd batch in the family of MMA that means there are only 3 levels of MMA in LPU. Almost 5 weeks had past when we start seeing each other it seems that we almost know each other physically and mentally. We enjoy eating together, laughing together, making noise together, studying together, and most specially taking our pictures together. We all know that this course is one of the new course that lyceum had offered but it doesn’t mean that this course is not good I think this is where I belong because I am happy in this family. This family made me realize that there’s something more in my skills that they can teach to enhance my skills and give more many ideas. i know there are many students in my class that can draw so much better than me! But they never used their talents to put me down instead they are willing to teach every one of us by using their different skills not only in drawing but also in editing and some other stuffs. I am happy that I choose this course and I have no regrets by choosing it. I am looking forward to the time that every one of us feeding each of one minds by sharing ideas and thoughts.

We had our very first GA or General Assembly last Thursday. I saw my fellow MMA students my kuya’s and ate’s I am proud that I am one of them that artists are born. We had our meeting our 1^st class picture taking and first bonding as a family. I think we are very happy to see each other personally because after a month  we finally meet as one family with full of joyfulness and happy smiles. J I think MMA is the way to give us opportunities to become successful artist and mainstream in our generation. They enhance our skill in every different way. This is also the way to achieve our dreams in life and just enjoy every minute that you are one of the MMA family or greatest family. MMA had so many achievements in their entire stay in LPU they tell us a story about that. I am proud to here those news because as a MMA student I want also to experience so many achievements in life most specially regarding in my course. I am starving in achievements I am looking forward to know my other skills and force to have any skills that I don’t want to do in my past life. I think when I go further in this course I may take the lead to become a successful MMA students someday.

Week 4: As One

Another time to make my blog I’m sorry last week blog I can’t visit you, the topic for this week is teamwork. Basketball, football, volleyball, baseball are one of the many elements that is using a “Team-work”. This is the secret of a team that has ended up in a journey or in fight with a golden victory smiles in their faces. I think everyone needs a buddy or a team that can provide the elements of a team-work to form a great ideas, suggestions and goals in different aspects in life. As we all know teamwork is the most important things when you do something, like playing, debating, project making etc. I want to share some quote, in my past high school life I had to hear a quote that even though there was a superhuman in a team but the other members in the team did not participate well the team must have a greater chance to lose a fight or a battle because you cannot force to one person the things that a team can provide or make if there’s not a teamwork. There are no such things that a team can’t do but one person can do!

As we all know teamwork can make a time of work lessen because there’s a group of people helping each other putting some different ideas and thoughts. A team-work can make a product better and great. If there’s a team-work you can say the there’s a success because if you work for something that uses different ideas of a member of a team it’s a better way to present your work creatively. I think this is one of the way that we consider in our group in Communication Technology we need to have a teamwork to make our product creatively done and have a better conclusion. To end my blog I learned that teamwork is very important in a team specially in a team that can’t provide many ideas in some product if there’s a team-work there is also a success.

Week 2: Quare Defero?

Why communicate? Communicate is the most important element in the world everybody needs it in their daily lives. As I know communicate is one of the most important thing in life because if we know how to communicate we also know how to talk to pray to debate to guide to teach to understand and many more! This is one way for us to express our feelings and our reactions in different situation in life, you can also understand other feelings by communicating to each other like in a conversation of your friend you can know how your friend feels about when you communicate each other and when you talk to each other. There are so many ways for us to communicate other people like using medium we use computers for email cell phone for texting and cards for written communication. This stuff’s are like the branches of communication for us to communicate others directly in different ways. I think the more we communicate to others the more we learn something from them by sharing different ideas and opinions by each one of us. This is also can serve as the way for us to understand. You can also communicate in every different way like dancing, singing acting and by making arts!J But most of all the best way to communicate is the expression of someone’s communicating. We can also use this in motivating and giving advice to others.

I can’t imagine if the people in the world don’t know how to communicate. We don’t have friends, lovers, and enemies we don’t know how to put ourselves in some situation if we don’t know how to communicate. This is one of the best way to build your confidence I think. If we don’t have a means to communicate our world would be so isolated. Communicate is like to know someone to know their life their story and their other information. We need to explore anything in this world to develop our self by communicating. I think other term of communicate is “power” and power means influence, to other if we communicate different kinds of personalities we can influence them with our stories and histories. You can build a better relationship by communicating in a proper way. As we all know we use communication in our daily lives, but communication can be one of the reasons why we have enemies and conflict with somebody by different reasons. As the conclusion of all of these I might say that communication is everything and everywhere. I know how to communicate! and I love communicating specially with someone that I love J Peace!

Week 1: What is happiness? its CAS! :))

I would like to start at the orientation, on that day I’m so shy because at first I’m a freshman and I don’t know what to do. I saw new faces new people and new crowd I also saw my other High school batch mates. As the program starts the emcee told us that the CAS (College of Arts and Sciences) is the most loudest and happiest Department among all, in other terms they said that its fun in CAS! I think that is good news to know that I am a part of a department that unites in different aspects in school activity and others. The department shared to us that the CAS is the most punctual department in lyceum and I was able to see their program and as I can see in my opinion I think they are real about presenting their department. My seniors in CAS are very crazy and cheerful and I think they are very kind “ate’s and kuya’s”, they also give us snacks and I love it. The program is good, well presented the vision mission and other stuffs of the university they also tell us the meaning of “I am a Lycean” and the brief history of the LPU around Philippines. The CAS singing choir is good they sang the “Lupang Hinirang” and I’m amazed because I don’t know how to sing but there voice is refreshing, and of course the CAS Dance troupe they are all good and the girls are pretty I had enjoyed watching them. They also warmly welcomed us in their family and in the university with some genuine speakers I forgot their names but I think there are highly appreciated persons in LPU-Laguna. At the end they present the CAS faculty but not all and I don’t know why not all. I am happy to be part of my new family the CAS family and I’m looking forward into future activities and other things that are related about are department.

The Second time that I saw the CAS family is in GA or General assembly. General Assembly was held in Avr, the reason that we had our 1st GA is to elect the CAS Student Counsel. Before the election started there are some presenters who present different policies all around the university and other things. For the second time I heard again the choir just like the first time that I heard them it’s the best it’s so cool in my ears. When the election started the crowd is so loud for shouting different names but it’s not a noise it’s a culture I think for CASJ. The election goes on as the normal election had, some student nominate other student and when the emcee says the name of that nominated we raise our hands if we are favor on that student to be held on that position. After that the students who elect give some speech to us. For the freshmen day we had our holy mass at first and finish the registration. After that the program proper starts and some speakers are speaking again but I’m listening take noteJ. Then again the choir sang and the cheering squad had their production number, but my favorite part is the Dance and the theater performance. The piece of Theater club is the best! We are amazed in their acting skills all the scenes are just like in a real situation, hands down to that! After all finally we can eat after seating long hours and watching the program, I think the seniors made the arrangement of the food the food was arrange in some leaves of banana it is called “boodle fight” at first I’m shy to eat but when I saw my classmates and new friends are eating like ah deadly hungry I’m starting to eat also and the food was good I enjoyed eating with my new friends, that’s how I am starting to love the CAS family I ‘m happy that I am a lycean! And I am a part of College of Arts and Science.
